High-altitude sickness in Manaslu Circuit trekking
High altitude sickness is a kind of sickness which generally happens in the Himalayas after crossing above 4,000m in the Nepalese cases. I personally suggest you that if you have suffering from the deep disease such as heart problem, headache or faint, I don’t recommend you to trek in the himalayas. when you cross 4,000m, you walk in to the thin air in the barren land. You get less oxygen and more carboned-side. You walk windy valley so you feel headache, dizzying, feel lazy, tired and vomiting some time. The best options if this case happened is to descend as soon as possible. There are some rules to save from the high-altitude sickness. If you drink plentiful liquids such as hot water, black tea, Ginger tea and so on items with less oily foods then that types of items help to keep you fit. The warm clothes help to keep your body at balance. Diamox helps you to save from the altitude but you must use before suffering from the altitude sickness.

Day 1: Kathmandu arrival
When you arrived at Tribhuwan international airport in Kathmandu, we welcome you at the Himalayan kingdom then pick-up you from the airport to the hotel. You can take relaxation at your hotel or if you arrive early in the day, you can visit around the touristic places Thamel with taking the variety of Asian to the Western pattern foods or go to spa for massage and sauna bath. Day 2: Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley

After visiting these sites, it will be better to pack your trekking bag and if missing some important trekking gears, you can buy that also at Thamel. Day 3: Drive to Machhakhola by private Jeep
After having your breakfast early in the morning, your trekking guide will receive you from the hotel to your trekking trail journey Machhakhola by private Jeep takes 7-8 hours. The road is not so good but it is okay to take the local villages experiences and dusty and jumping road in Nepal. Overnight at tea house.

Day 4: Trek to Jagat
Today is your beginning day for trekking, be careful about the trail which is rocky, muddy and tiny too. We suggest you to take breakfast early in the morning at around 7: am then start every day. If you start your trekking earlier then you reach your accommodation places earlier or you can get chance to take rest, visit more places if you want and take more fun on the way. You follow the Budhigandaki river from beginning to the Larkye-la top then descend to another river valley. Overnight at tea house.
Day 5: Trek to Dyang
You walk long day on the Budhigandaki river valley with seeing the beautiful farmland, villages by crossing so many swinging bridges. The path is tiny with rocky so, be careful always. If you want to take photos or record videos, please stop first, take photos or shut videos, keep your equipment and start to walk. Many trekkers record the videos and take the photos while walking and they damage their camera, Go-Pro and mobile. So, follow the instruction for your safety journey. If needed, you can stop your guide anytime and every time. Overnight at Tea house.
Day 6: Trek to Namrung
You walk along the river side and jungle side with seeing the beautiful natural scenery. The rural villages, farmland and many touristic tea houses with the beautiful flora and fauna are always welcome you for your each and every steps. You can see some mountains that is the symptoms to get close-up view point. Overnight at tea house.
Day 7: Trek to Lho gaon
You walk only 3-4 hours today and rest there. You can take lunch at Lho gaon and overnight there. Lho gaon is a small village but one of the best places to observe the world’s 8th highest peak Mount Manaslu and surrounding vistas. Visit the very old Buddhist monastery which is located on the top of the village. The monastery is also the perfect view point of Mount Manaslu and surrounding Himalayan vistas. Lho Gaon and above, you can see the outstanding close-up views of Mount Manaslu and surrounding peaks every day. Overnight at tea house.
Day 8: Trek to Samagaon
You follow the high-land path with seeing the amazing Mount Manaslu and several snowy peaks. The path leads you a tiny village Syala and upstairs. After crossing the glacier bridge, there is 2 way one is directly go to Samagaon and another is hiking to Phungen monastery. If you love and visit the high-land Buddhist monastery then it is the best options to visit the Phungen Monastery where the Guru Padmasambhava medidation there and Guru Rinpoche’s most visited places. The monastery is on the foothill of Mount Manaslu and also the places of rare wildlife Snow Leopard and Red Panda. After visiting that side, continue trek to Samagaon and overnight at tea house.
Day 9: Acclimatization Day
Today is your free day. You can go to Manaslu base camp site for side trip and also for acclimatization. The Manaslu base camp side is really very interesting where the Birendra lake is situated just on the foothill of Mount Manaslu and the water is come from the Manaslu glacier. You can see some wildlife such as musk deer and blue sheep. The Yak is the local brand there which you can see in this side and overnight at tea house.
Day 10: Trek to Samdoo
Today is also short day to walk. You reach Samdo at your Lunch time. After having the lunch, you can hike to Tibetan border side for side trip and that is also helpful to acclimatize to you. If you want to visit the Tibet border side then it is better to stop at Samdoo for 2 night and visit very near part of Tibet on your full day hiking.
Day 11: Trek to Dharamsala
Dharamsala is the last junction and altitudinally the tough places where you eat and sleep. You can see some beautiful Himalayan sceneries and high land places such as Yak and sheep grass land. Maximum of the trekkers become altitude sickness here so, be careful about the foods and uses clothing. We always prefer to take more liquid items and specially Garlic soups when you cross Lho Gaon. Take plentiful boiled water and black tea and same items that helps to keep your body warm and fit for next adventure. Overnight at tea house.
12: Trek to Bhimthang
Today is your tough day of your Manaslu circuit trekking. You start your trekking at 4: am early in the morning with a cup of tea or hot water and some normal breakfast with taking pack lunch. The path is not so bad but it is really the long day trail and feel you an adventure in life. But be confident and present here strongly for touching your goal Tarkya-La pass (5,106m). It is really very hard because of the full board snow so we personally suggest you the best month to trek here is in October to Mid-December and April to May and June for the friendly temperature and perfect weather conditions. You need to walk at least 9-11 hours which is really the tough for this altitude but you forget all these with seeing the conquer images of Mount Manaslu and Mount Annapurna region. You see Mount Annapurna 2nd, Lamjung Himal, Kangaroo, Cheo, Himlung and so many other with the shiny lake but long time walk ups and down feel you tired finally. Overnight at tea house.
Day 13: Trek to Dharapani
You follow the Marshangdi river bank full day and cross many small settlements. You walk on the Rhododendron forest side and pine tree today. You can see the less mountains but enjoying with talking the locals if you are interesting. Dharapani is your accommodation places where the Annapurna circuit trekking begins and Manaslu circuit trekking end. You celebrate your last trekking day at Dharapani and enjoy with cheer beer.
Day 14: Drive back to Kathmandu by Private Jeep
After having your breakfast, you drive back to Kathmandu by private Jeep takes full day. The road follows the Marshangdi river bank and Trishuli river bank with passing many settlements. Trishuli river is the famous rafting river in Nepal where you can see somebody has been rafting there. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 15 and 16:
Day 15 is your free day. If you want to Mountain flight in Everest region, you can do it or visit some places in Kathmandu valley is also possible or relax at your hotel that is depends on you.
