Annapurna Base Camp Trek - 13 Days
Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a very popular way of exploring and enjoying the beauty of Annapurna Region. Annapurna Base Camp is indeed a place where the climbers stay a night before heading toward Annapurna summit. Being a moderate nature trek, this trail is also very famous trekking route for those adventure seekers who have less experience in trekking and hiking. So it is a comfortable trekking which combines natural beauties and local cultures together.
Basically, Annapurna Base Camp Trek starts from Pokhara like any other trips of Annapurna Region. This trek passes through several natural beauties. Some of the attractions on the way of this trek are waterfalls, lush forest and few indigenous Nepali communities. The indigenous people will greet you in their own hospitality that brings a joyous and worthy feeling of trip on you. Of course, the snow-capped high Himalaya panoramic view is the most fascinating thing of this trek including the views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Manaslu etc.
Generally, Annapurna Base Camp Trek can be completed within 11 – 14 days. And of course, it depends your time and hiking speed. So we have designed a 13 days’ Annapurna Base Camp Trek for the trekkers who have limited time to spend here. If you would like to do long days’ trail in Annapurna Region, you can choose 21 days’ Annapurna Circuit Trek which encircles you the Annapurna Massif and its neighboring mountains including Dhaulagiri, Himchuli, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre etc.
- Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu Airport
- Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara drive (950m elevation)
- Day 03: Pokhara to Nayapul drive (1100m elevation) and trek to Ghandruk (1750 Elevation)
- Day 04: Ghandruk to Chomrong (1951 elevation)
- Day 05: Chomrong to Dovan (2050 m elevation)
- Day 06: Dovan to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3720 elevation)
- Day 07: Machhapuchhre Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp (4095m elevation)
- Day 08: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2050m elevation)
- Day 09: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1700 m elevation)
- Day 10: Jhinu Danda to Pothana (1900m elevation)
- Day 11: Pothana to Kande and drive to Pokhara
- Day 12: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu
- Day 13: Final departure
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu Airport
After your arrival at Kathmandu Airport, one of our staff will pick you up and transfer to hotel. You take rest there for a while to get refreshment of so long travel. Overnight in Kathmandu
Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara drive (950m elevation)
As per our schedule of journey, we begin the trip by drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. On the way of the travel, you can enjoy landscape view overland greenery of hills. After reaching in Pokhara, you are transferred to a hotel near Phewa Lake. Overnight in Pokhara
Day 03: Pokhara to Nayapul drive (1100m elevation) and trek to Ghandruk (1750 Elevation)
Today, we continue our journey to Annapurna Base Camp just taking few hours’ drive from Pokhara valley to Nayapul having enjoyments of views of 8000 m high peaks like Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. And then we start walking from Nayapul to Ghandruk Village. Ghandruk village is gurung inhabitant which is full rich of cultures and natural beauties. Overnight in Ghandruk
Day 04: Ghandruk to Chomrong (1951 elevation)
Early in the morning having breakfast, we make our gradual uphill following a forest area to reach on Chomrong village. As we reach on Komrong ridge, we walk down to Komrong valley where we see forest area. We take uphill climb a top hill of Komrong as we reach on Komrong River which will be only 2-3 hours. Now we again make downhill toward Chomrong valley. The whole journey will take about 6 hours to complete. Overnight in Chomrong
Day 05: Chomrong to Dovan (2050 m elevation)
Today, our journey leads to short downhill walk toward Chomrong River and cross the river. Now we are lead to uphill of Sinuwa Danda, then we walk through Bamboo. We continue walking up to Dovan. Overnight in Dovan
Day 06: Dovan to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3720 elevation)
As we get closer to Annapurna Base Camp, we feel colder and colder because of the increasing elevation from sea level. On the way, you leave subtropical areas and follow the polar climates. You only get to see bush, you could not find tree lines. Finally, we reach on Machhapuchhre Base Camp by following Modi River. Overnight in Machhapuchhre Base Camp
Day 07: Machhapuchhre Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp (4095m elevation)
Today, our trail follows the ultimate destination of our whole journey and i.e reaching on Annapurna Base Camp and enjoying the nature from here. Only 4 hours trek will make you reach on Annapurna Base Camp. If all weather set well, then no one can stop to see magnificent views of Annapurna Massif and its neighboring peaks from Annapurna Base Camp. Overnight in Annapurna Base Camp
Day 08: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2050m elevation)
Spending grand time in Annapurna Base Camp, we finally start to come back from the base camp. After having breakfast, our walk leads us to gradual downhill toward Deurali and then reach on Bamboo. Overnight in Bamboo
Day 09: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1700 m elevation)
Today, we pass Sinuwa Danda along with dense forest and come to Chomrong River. After having lunch in Chomrong village, we set out our journey to Jhinu Danda. 45 minutes uphill and an hour’s downhill make us to reach Sinuwa Danda. Overnight in Jhinu danda
Day 10: Jhinu Danda to Pothana (1900m elevation)
Enjoying the magnificent view of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu and Fishtail, we pass Landruk village and some other village as well as cool forest area and finally reach on Pothana within 5 hours. Overnight in Pothana
Day 11: Pothana to Kande and drive to Pokhara
Today, we start our journey with super mountain views and heading toward Kande village. Enjoying Himalayan range and beautiful landscape meadows, we reach on Kande Village and then take drive to Pokhara. Overnigh in Pokhara
Day 12: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu
Today is the second last day of our trip. So we drive or fly back to Kathmandu and take rest of whole trip. We will have trip success party. Overnight in Kathmandu Hotel
Day 13: Final departure

Trekking to Himalayas is so strenuous. So you have to keep some equipment to be safe during the journey. That is why we advise you to have needed things. Trekking gears can be rented from Nepal too, so you should not take it from your home.

Basically, we make a group not more than 12 members considering service arrangement for our guests. By long experience in this field, we realized that 12 trekkers in a group is optimum for a successful trip. But you can consult us if you want more number of trekkers in a group, we also arrange for that.
Porter and Guide Service
You often feel high altitude sickness in the Himalaya. So you may not able to carry your own luggage. But we make a porter available for 2 trekkers, however he only can carry up to 20 kilos. For additional luggage, you are charged additional money.
You stay at hotel in Kathmandu. You are provided good services there. But in the Himalaya, you will not get hotel to stay. You have to stay either in lodges or tea houses and there isn’t single room available in the Himalaya. So you should adjust in a shared room because you hardly get single room there.
You will enjoy typical Nepali food during the trek as well as common continental food like Tibetan and Indian food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided during trek. But lunch and dinner are excluded in Kathmandu and Pokhara, only breakfast is provided.
Pick up and drop from/to airport are provided as well as private vehicle service for sightseeing in Kathmandu valley. And tourist bus is provided for Kathmandu to Pokhara drive.
Best Season to Travel
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the best season to travel in Nepal Himalaya because weather becomes clearer in these seasons which guarantees the outstanding views of Nepal Himalaya. However, you can also make trip in winter season although the season is quite colder.
