Normally, when someone asks about the reason of Everest Base Camp visit, most probably the answer would be “Everest is world highest mountain”, so that we should visit Everest Base Camp. However, I never believe in this statement. Of course, it may be a good reason, but it is not enough to visit Everest Base Camp.
Let me tell you one thing about the Himalaya. Friends, do you know story about the formation of Himalaya ? According to geographer, it was thousands of years ago when two plate, in the term of Geography, Indian plate and Chinese plate, one is apart of another. It came slightly nearer and nearer, both collide with each other which formed the Himalaya now we see. This is a basic information about Himalaya to you. Now, let come to the point. The point is that there are several reasons to visit Everest Base Camp. In fact, the Everest Base Camp is situated inside the national park called Sagarmatha(Everest) National Park. And indeed, the park is home of some endangered species of this world, which includes Musk Deer, Himalayan Black Bear, Snow Leopard, Red Panda and the unseen Yeti etc. Yeti is considered as an imaginative creation which looks like Human but it is 7 and more than 7 feet tall and has giant body. However, some people claims that they have seen it in the Himalaya.
Every ethnic group of this world have their own different cultures and rituals. Likewise, people of Everest Region also has their distinct culture and traditions. Of course, they are Nepali, but they have their own mother tongue. There politeness and friendliness, hospitality as well as shyness are their actual nature. Lukla, Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Gorakshep etc villages are also the major attractions of Everest Base Camp Trek.
Landscape snowcapped views of Himalaya range is another charm of this trek. Walking along the loss rhododendron forest will be unforgettable moment in this trek. And last but not least Kathmandu to Lukla Flight is an adventure itself since it is one of the dangerous flight in the Himalaya.
