The Everest Base Camp Trekking is the foothill of the world’s tower peak Mt. Everest. This is an adventure high route hikers’ path and also the altitudinally challenging trail in the Khumbu Sagarmatha Himalayan range. You can trek to Everest base camp in September to November and December in autumn and March to May and June in spring seasons but the best month to trek in Everest base camp is April & May in spring and October, November and mid-December in autumn. Transportations about Everest Base Camp Trek

The transportation in Everest base camp trek is depends on your starting point and ending point. If you want to start your Everest base camp trek from Lukla then there is only flight option from Kathmandu and also if you are the individual solo traveler, you should have to book the ticket at least a week to a month before because of its busy flight schedule. If you want to start your Everest Base Camp trek from Jiri-Sivalaya, there is only Jeep or local bus options and if you want to start your trek from Phaplu, there is available for both flight and ground transportation that is depends on you but the Phaplu flight happens only 4 days in a week and this is very rare chance to get the ticket in the peak seasons.

Foods and Accommodations in Everest Base Camp Trek

Everest Base camp Trek is well known trekking trail in the Himalayan region of Nepal. Detailed itinerary of Everest Base Camp Trekking

Day 1: Arrival in Nepal

When you arrive in Tribhuwan international airport in Kathmandu, we will welcome you at first and receive you from the airport to the Hotel at Thamel in Kathmandu. Rest of the time, you can enjoy to take hot shower, body massage or visit around Thamel for tasty and lovely foods.

Day 2: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing

After your hot breakfast in the hotel before 8: AM, our tour guide will meet you and briefing you about the tour. You will visit historical Hindu pilgrimage site Pashupatinath Temple, Buddhist pilgrimage site Boudhanath & Swoyambhunath & finally Kathmandu Durbar square all of these are listed in the world heritage site. You can take enjoy to see the different variety of art and Arti cultural monuments which are century old. Rest of the time, prepare to your trekking. Today, we will meet you and meeting you in the evening at 5: PM. We will clearly talk to you about the programs once and please pay the bill at our first meeting if you have some due then we will provide you the welcome dinner at the cultural restaurant where you will taste the Nepali foods with experience the typical cultural programs. Day 3: Fly to Lukla & Trek to Phakding

Please be ready early in the morning at around 5:30 AM, We will receive you from the hotel to the local airport in Kathmandu then you will fly to Lukla with your trekking guide. While flying, you will take the thrill air experience with seeing the several Himalayan views of Langtang & holy Mt. Gaurishankar with naturally lovely green views. When you reach Lukla Tenzing Hillary airport, you will take breakfast there, you will meet your trekking crew staffs there then start your dream destination Everest Base Camp Trek. You pass some small settlement with observing the beautiful rural lifestyle & their cultural Buddhist Chorten & monasteries. The trail might be busy sometime from the people who is travelling from the different countries. You will get chance to meet the variety of people who speaks their own mother language, you can be the friend with them and travel together. You will take lunch at Tharokoshi and 1 more hour walk to Phakding. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Trek to Namche Bazaar

We request you to take breakfast at 7: AM everyday then begin your trekking. The trail leads you uphill slopy mountain village Namche bazaar passing through the famous Hillary bridge in Sagarmatha national park conservation area project with seeing the world’s tower peak Mt. Everest and surrounding areas. You take lunch at Jorsalle where your Everest base camp trek’s TIMS card checked. Overnight at hotel in Namche bazaar.

Day 5: Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar

Namche Bazaar is a slopy hill situated at 3440m from the sea level and it is the main trade center of Everest Base Camp Trek where you can get chance to buy the trekking gear which you miss to pack. The acclimatization day at Namche bazaar is also the gateway to visit Everest view hotel, Khumjung & Khunde green valley exploration and also visit some best coffee shop to taste the best bakery items. You can visit the mountain museum at Namche bazaar for collect some better trekking information and better place to capture some memorable photos. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6: Trek to Phortse

After having your hot breakfast, you follow the uphill trail of Everest Base Camp Trek where you can see such a beautiful Himalayan scenery with the variety of wildlife on the way. Be careful from the Jopkey & Yak, they are the main transportation of Khumbu region. At Kyanjuma, you can take some drink items then the trail divides you to go directly Everest base camp to follow the Dudhkoshi river site Tyangboche and another path is to connect you Gokyo Valley trek. We follow the Gokyo valley trail till Phortse Thanga then turn right to climb up Phortse village. Overnight at Phortse village.

Day 7: Trek to Dingboche village

The trail leads you uphill on the top of Phortse village then ups and down walk on the rocky trail with superb scenery of Mt. Aamadablam and surrounding Mt. Everest region. You will take lunch at Pangboche village or Somare then walk 2-3 more hours to reach Dingboche. All of these villages are the famous legendary Sherpa villages where you can get chance to know about the Sherpa culture and traditions. Overnight at hotel in Dingboche Village.

Day 8: Acclimatization Day at Dingboche (4,400m)

We have organized many trekking and peak climbing groups in Everest region so, Dingboche is also the best place to acclimatization after Namche Bazaar in our several years’ experience in this region. You can get chance to climb Nagarjuna hill (5,000m) for superb scenery of Imjatse valley which is surrounding by the high Himalayas and several peaks or hiking to Chhukung Island peak site for side trip to acclimatize, you can choose yourself but Nagarjuna hill is the better hiking place to see the whole scenery of Imjatse valley. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9: Trek to Labuche (4,910m)

After having your hot breakfast, start your journey slowly. Many people have suffered from the high-altitude sickness so be careful about the foods, drinks and clothes. If you keep your body warm then there is less chance to become sick. Walk very slowly with seeing the dry and high land. You will take lunch at Thukla then 2 hours climb up to get Labuche. Labuch is just beneath the famous Labuche peak. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Trek to Gorekshep (5,100m)

Gorekshep is very near from Labuche it takes only 3 hours to reach there. If you are interested, you can visit Labuche Pyramid for side trip or directly headed Gorekshep. Take lunch at Gorekshep, rest there and hiking to the dream destination Everest Base Camp in the day time which takes 4-5 hours ups and down. You meet many peoples in Everest base camp, take some memorable photos and back to your hotel at Gorekshep & overnight there.

Day 11: Hiking to Kalapattar (5,545m) & trek to Pheriche

Be ready early in the morning, take a cup of tea & fill some bottle of hot water then climb to Kalapattar for amazing sunrise view. The entire views from Kalapattar are speechless. The view from Kalapattar is really outstanding but the coldness suffers sometimes and that provides very bad experience too. So please use the warm clothes and head and foot wears. The sunrise view from Above Mt. Everest (8,848m) are really awesome. You can see better view of Khumbu icefall & surrounding Himalayan vistas and get yourself around the Himalayas. Stay there as you like then back to your hotel at Gorekshep. Take breakfast there, pack your bag pack then trek descend to Pheriche as the same way which you already follow. Overnight at hotel in Pheriche.

Day 12: Trek to Namche bazaar via Tyangboche Monastery

You will follow the same way back to Namche till Pangboche then you follow the left side to trek Tyangboche by crossing Imja khola & dibuche. Tengboche is a high land famous places of Buddhist monastery where Guru Ringboche was medidate there. You can visit inside the monastery where you see the footprint of Guru Ringpoche. Take lunch at Tengboche and continue trek to Namche bazaar. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Day 13: Trek to Lukla

You follow the same way descend to Lukla by collecting the mountain site trekking experience. Please be careful on the way because to climb up requires more energy and descend requires more concentration on the way. You pass once more time to cross the famous Hillary bridge and many tiny highland settlements where you already eat and sleep. Lukla is the gate way of Everest region trekking, peak climbing & mountaineering. You celebrate your last trekking day at Lukla with your trekking crew members & fly back to the same aircraft to Kathmandu by the same airline early in the morning which announce you to our trekking guide. Overnight at hotel.

Day 14: Fly back to Kathmandu in the morning

Be ready at early in the morning. The flight begins at around 6:30 am so, it is better to ready at around 6: AM. You can take a cup of tea or have a breakfast then inter the airport. Our guide will inform you that all in the evening. Please be patient because the flight will be late sometime, it depends on the weather. We pick up you from the domestic airport to your hotel in Kathmandu & rest of the time, you can relax at Thamel with tasty foods, you can take massage or steam bath that all you get in very near from your hotel. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 15: Extra day at Kathmandu

We organize 1 more day at Kathmandu because the flight to Lukla to Kathmandu is not sure. If delay the flight from Lukla to Kathmandu or Cancelled the flight happen at Lukla then extra day helps to cover the right decision. If you have one more extra day at Kathmandu, you can get chance to buy some gift items or visit the extra places which you didn’t visit already. We organize the farewell dinner with you in the evening and overnight at hotel.

Day 16: Departure Day

Today is your last day in Kathmandu. We leave you at Tribhuwan international airport before 2-3 hours of your flight time. We are sure, you leave your footprint, kill your time and spent the money but enjoy a lot to see some such a beautiful Himalayan scenery.
