Annapurna Base Camp Trekking Cost

Annapurna Base Camp trek is on the foothill of the Nepal’s youngest mountain’s southern part trail which is covered by the snowy peaks and mountains. This trek is also the high route short adventure for those who wants to touch the famous mountain’s backdrop quickly. The cost of Annapurna Base Camp Trek is depending on your required services and travelling days. We normally take U$$1450 which is including the all-ground transportation from airport to airport, one way flight ticket from Kathmandu to Pokhara and return back ticket from Pokhara to Kathmandu by Tourist bus. Sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley UNESCO world heritage side, Pokhara valley sightseeing, 3-night hotel in Kathmandu and 1 night hotel in Pokhara with bed and breakfast. The hotel is 3* level. All official documents, such as TIMS and Annapurna conservation area project Permits, all foods and accommodations for the guest while trekking, Nepali staffs salary, foods, accommodations, transportations and insurance and welcome and farewell dinner for the guest.

Is this trek favor for me?

Annapurna base camp trek is the rocking trail where you need to walk ups and down at least 5-7 hours every day. You walk in the high-altitude side with eat and sleep in the different altitude so if you are ready to maintain these requirements, it is okay otherwise, we require you to do morning walk and cycling at least 3 months before heading to Annapurna base camp for successful journey and also if you have the in-depth health p. roblems such as heart attract, faint, breath problems and so on, we don’t recommend to trek but you can fulfill to touch Annapurna base camp by Helicopter too. From Pokhara, the tour happens every day in the morning takes US$ 350 per person.

How to get Annapurna base camp trek?

Annapurna base camp trek begins after an hour’s drive from Pokhara to Nayapool by private Jeep. From there, you walk on the hiking trail ups and down in several rocky steps passing through the Madi river and some small settlements. At Birethanti, there is a check post where your TIMS (Trekking information management system) and permit card checks. After that, the trail headed some beautiful villages side of Gurung and Magar community passing through the terraced rice fields and green jungle. You take lunch at Hile then continue trek to Ulleri via Tikhedhunga and overnight at normal guesthouse. After early morning breakfast, you walk on the beautiful village side, dense Jungle and some small tea shop, you reach 2,800m Ghorepani which is the remarkable places to see the amazing natural scenery of the Himalayas and peaks.

In the early morning hiking to Poon hill for spectacular sunrise view from above the Himalayas while the sun hits on the top of the giant Mt. Annapurna 1st, and Mt. Dhaulagiri with several peaks are really just outstanding. Walk on the Rhododendron and pine forest with seeing the amazing Kali Gandaki river gorge and some typical village views are also another attraction which compels you to stop many times for capturing the memorable photographs. After return back from Poon hill, take breakfast at Ghorepani and continue trek to Tadhapani. From Dadhapani, the trail goes through Ghandruk on the right but we catch the trail to go Chhomrong or sinuwa for Annapurna base camp trek.

After Chhomrong/ Sinuwa, the trail goes through the Jungle side passing the bamboo and Rhododendron Forest with some tea house places Bamboo, Dovan, Himalaya, Deurali, Machhapuchre base camp and finally Annapurna base camp where you will be spent 3-4 night in that site. You can enjoy a lot for seeing the perfect views of forest, rocky hills and Giant Himalayas.  You can spend 2 nights at Machhapuchre base camp from where you can hike Annapurna base camp easily or trek to Annapurna base camp for overnight it depends on your health and altitude friendliness. From Machhapuchre base camp to Annapurna base camp, the Himalayan views around you including the world’s first climbed above 8,000m Mt. Annapurna 1st, Annapurna south, Hiun chuli, Tharpu chuli, Tent peak, Singhu chuli, Annapurna 3rd, and Holy Mt. Machhapuchre with Annapurna glacier makes your journey really meaningful and memorable. You can capture several photos with enjoying the hot tea or coffee and some dishes over there but be careful about the high altitude which suffers you sometime very badly.

While returning back from Annapurna base camp, you follow the same route till Chhomrong then you follow the trail descends to Jhinu danda. There is a hot spring at Jhinu danda river site, you can go to Hot spring and take the natural bath and overnight there. After that, you will trek to Landruk and drive back to Pokhara by private Jeep takes 2-3 hours or continue Mardi Himal Trek takes 4 more days which depends on your interest and time. At Pokhara, there are many places to visit such as Taal Barahi Temple, Davids falls, Gupteshwor Mahadev temple, Annapurna international mountain museum, Cultural Museum, KI sing bridge, White stupa, Mahendra and Bat cave and many more. Pokhara is also the best place for Paragliding, Bungee jumping, Jeep line, Ultra-light and Boating. You can do this if you want and have the time.

Foods for Annapurna base camp trek

You can select the different varieties of foods which you get the menus just Infront of the table. The mostly foods you can get is as follows:

For breakfast: – Toast with Jam and Honey, different variety of Omelet which you prefer, boiled eggs, Muscly with fruits and milk, Porridge with fruits and milk, Tibetan breads, plane chapati with vegetable curry and variety of tea and coffee which you prefer.

For Lunch and Dinner: – Nepali Thali set Dall-Bhatt with vegetable curry and pickle, Mo:Mos, spring rolls, mars rolls, Pizza, fried potatoes, macaroni, spaghetti with tomato Sause, Cheese macaroni, Thukpa, noodle soups etc..

Accommodations for Annapurna base camp trek

Trekking in Nepal is very remote area and there is not connected by the road and air transportation. So, most of the things which is needed for the trekking is carrying by the people or mule or yak in Nepal. so, you will get very basic, normal but neat and clean 2 bed sharing rooms with outside bathroom. Please be comfortable sometime while trekking in the mountains. We need to sleep at dining hall and common bed room for some time.

Best seasons for Annapurna base camp trek

There are two seasons to trek in Annapurna base camp. You can trek to Annapurna base camp in September to November in Autumn and March to May in spring for its clear visibility and temperature. In Autumn, you can see better scenery of the Himalayas. You can trek Annapurna base camp in December but that is really cold weather but perfect weather clearance and you will get very less trekkers at this time. In March to May, you can see the perfect scenery of the Himalayas with colorful Rhododendron flowers which blooms in March to May in spring. 

Packing list for Annapurna base camp

We prefer some packing list which helps you to remember easily which is as follows,

A day hiking bag, a big bag for packing list clothes and necessary items, a pair of Trekking boots, a pair of sport shoes for rest places, a pair of saddle, 2-3 pairs of socks, 2-3 pairs of vest or T-shirt, 2-3 pairs of Trousers, inner thermals, Super down Jacket, Rain coat, Gore-tax jacket, Hat, gloves, a pair of stick, a pair of towel, water bottle, head lamp, camera, some pairs of extra batteries, some dry foods such as beans, cookies, sneakers, salami, tooth brush, tooth paste, shampoo, soaps, small swiss knife, some medicine first aid kits, and some others items.

Day 1: Your arrival in Nepal (1,300m)

When you arrive at Tribhuwan international airport in Kathmandu. Our representative will pick up you from the airport to the Hotel. After checking in the hotel, we will talk about your programs. If you have some due amount, please! clear it at our first meeting. Rest of the time, you can visit Thamel for good foods or take relax at your hotel.

Day 2: Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley

In the morning at 6: am, you drive to the domestic airport for the spectacular mountain views in Everest region. After mountain flight, you will be sightseeing Pashupatinath Hindu shrine, Boudhanath Buddhist Monastery, Swoyambhunath Monastery and Kathmandu Durbar square. Rest of the time, you can prepare to your trekking. In the evening, you will join welcome dinner in the cultural restaurant where you get typical Nepali dinner with live cultural programs.

Day 3: Fly to Pokhara and Drive to Ulleri (1,900m)

After your warm breakfast in Kathmandu, you will drive to the domestic airport then fly to Pokhara. Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara is an extra experience to see some amazing Langtang and Mt. Manaslu region peaks and mountains with some beautiful river valleys. After 30-minute flying, you reach Pokhara, Pokhara is a naturally beautiful town and also the back drop of Annapurna massif. While landing in Pokhara airport, you will meet our Guide and Porters then you will drive to Ullery by private Jeep and overnight at the Guest house.

Day 4: Trek to Ghorepani (2,800m) 6-7 hours

You will take breakfast at 7: am in the morning then start your real trekking. You will walk in the jungle side watching some wildlife and birds. In March, April and May, the trail covers the colorful national flower Rhododendron. You ascend 900m to the hill Ghorepani where you stay overnight. You see the Himalayan views of Annapurna massif and Dhaulagiri massif. Both of peaks are above 8,000m.

Day 5: Trek to Tadhapani (2,760m)

In the morning at about 5:am, you climb to Poon hill for sunrise view takes approximately one hour. Poon hill is a small jungle hill from where 80% of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massif Mountain views covers. You take an amazing sunrise experience from here. You can take so many Photos and make videos with a cup of hot drinks then back to your hotel. After returning back from Poon hill, you will pack your bag, take breakfast then trek to Tadhapani passing through the Rhododendron jungle, pine and oak tree line. Sometime, you can see the Himalayan super animal Yak on the way to Tadhapani. Tadhapani is also the hill from where you can take the sunrise view experience.

Day 6: Trek to Lower Sinuwa

In the morning, you see the dramatic Annapurna south, Hiunchuli and holy Mt. Machhapuchre with a cup of hot tea. You take hot breakfast then continuous your trek. You walk descend to Chuile and Komrong khola then cross the bridge and trek to Lower Sinuwa via Chhomrong. Chhomrong is your Lunch place and also the beautiful village of specially Gurung communities’ people. You walk on the village side with taking the cultural experience of locals. You walk descend to Chhomrong Khola then ascend 45 minutes to lower Sinuwa for your accommodation.

Day 7: Trek to Himalaya

You will climb upper Sinuwa after having your breakfast. From Upper Sinuwa, you walk on the forest site, most of the way is covered by the bamboos and jungles. You take lunch at Bamboo then approximately 2 hours ascend to Himalaya for your accommodation. On the way to Himalaya from Sinuwa, you see some birds, butterflies and wild animals such as barking deer, Himalayan Thar, Langur and some others.

Day 8: Trek to Machhapuchre base camp

From Himalaya, it takes approximately 6 hours ascend to Machhapuchre base camp. You take lunch at Deurali after crossing the Hinku cave. Hinku cave side is also a bit dangerous place where the avalanche happens from Hiunchuli side. At Deurali, you will see the real Buddha on the middle hill side of holy Mt. Machhapuchre. After Deurali, you walk windy valley. Many trekkers feel so week because of the thin air. The destination displays you very closer views but you are feeling so weak from the High-Altitude sickness sometimes. If you are feeling tired, backside headache paining or vomiting, please share your guide as soon as possible. If you have such feelings, take plentiful liquids such as Garlic soup, Ginger tea, Ginger lemon honey tea or even black is also very helpful. During the trekking in the remote Himalayas, it is not good to take Milk tea, Hot chocolates and so on because that types of drinks might be date expire. So, be careful for foods while trekking in the Himalaya.

Day 9: Hike to Annapurna base camp (4130m) and back to Deurali

You hike to Annapurna base camp in the morning. It takes approximately two and half hours ascend. you attempt your final height today (4,130m). You take some memorable Photographs there, take breakfast there with seeing Mt. Annapurna 1st, and surrounding so many peaks. The major attractions are Mt. Annapurna 1st, Annapurna south, Annapurna Fang, Hiunchuli, holy Mt. Machhapuchre, Tharpu chuli, Singhu chuli, Tent peak and some others. There is a glacier on the foothill of Annapurna 1st and Annapurna south, if you want and you are interested, you can visit that side then back to Machhapuchre base camp. If you feel tired, you can spend one more night at Machhapuchre base camp or continue further one hour descend to Deurali for accommodation. You can take lunch at Annapurna base camp or Machhapuchre base camp, it depends on your time and your moods.

Day 10: Trek to Sinuwa

After having breakfast, you back to Sinuwa passing through the same way to Annapurna base camp. Some time, you will take different experience on the way because while you ascend, you feel the breathing problems then you don’t focus to see around the side but while you descend, you feel more comfortable and you look around. But be careful on the rocky way, in our years of experiences, while you walk up, it requires more energy and while you descend, it requires more concentration on the way.

Day 11: Trek to Jhinu Dada

After your hot breakfast in the morning. You descend to Chhomrong Khola passing through the hanging bridge then climb to Chhomrong village. Chhomrong is also a beautiful Gurung village. You can take cultural experience there some time. After Chhomrong, you walk descend to Jhinu dada takes 1 hours. You take lunch there then hiking to Hot spring for natural bath. After taking natural bath, you will feel so smart and freshen up from your tiring body. You can enjoy with chill beer in the evening at Jhinu dada. At Jhinu dada, you can back to Pokhara by local bus or private jeep directly.

Day 12: Trek Landruk and drive back to Pokhara by private Jeep

You walk on the river side and village side taking experience the Gurung and Magar communities’ cultures. You take Lunch at Landruk then drive back to Pokhara by private jeep takrs 2-3 hours. If you want to take some photos on the way back, please don’t hesitate to stop. We are very flexible everywhere and every time. If you visit Nepal and don’t include Pokhara, you are surely missing out and will be deemed incomplete. Also, there is much more to Pokhara than lakeside. Day 15: Drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus

You will drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus. It takes approximately 7-8 hours. The bus stops you twice or three times on the way for breakfast and lunch. Along the way to Kathmandu from Pokhara, you can get chance to experience the local cultures, tiny settlements and local markets. You will back along the Marshangdi river and major rafting sport Trishuli river bank with seeing the adventure rafting scenery. When you arrive at Kathmandu, our representative will pick up you from the bus station to the hotel and in the evening, you will join farewell dinner. We will meet you and you can share your experience with us.
