Annapurna Base Camp trek is comparatively the second famous trekking route than the world’s tough Everest Base Camp Trek which is on the foothill of the world’s first climbed above 8,000m Mountain Mt: Annapurna 1st, Mt. Annapurna Base Camp Trekking Cost
Annapurna Base Camp trek is on the foothill of the Nepal’s youngest mountain’s southern part trail which is covered by the snowy peaks and mountains. This trek is also the high route short adventure for those who wants to touch the famous mountain’s backdrop quickly. The cost of Annapurna Base Camp Trek is depending on your required services and travelling days. We normally take U$$1450 which is including the all-ground transportation from airport to airport, one way flight ticket from Kathmandu to Pokhara and return back ticket from Pokhara to Kathmandu by Tourist bus. Sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley UNESCO world heritage side, Pokhara valley sightseeing, 3-night hotel in Kathmandu and 1 night hotel in Pokhara with bed and breakfast. The hotel is 3* level. All official documents, such as TIMS and Annapurna conservation area project Permits, all foods and accommodations for the guest while trekking, Nepali staffs salary, foods, accommodations, transportations and insurance and welcome and farewell dinner for the guest.
Is this trek favor for me?
Annapurna base camp trek is the rocking trail where you need to walk ups and down at least 5-7 hours every day. You walk in the high-altitude side with eat and sleep in the different altitude so if you are ready to maintain these requirements, it is okay otherwise, we require you to do morning walk and cycling at least 3 months before heading to Annapurna base camp for successful journey and also if you have the in-depth health p. roblems such as heart attract, faint, breath problems and so on, we don’t recommend to trek but you can fulfill to touch Annapurna base camp by Helicopter too. From Pokhara, the tour happens every day in the morning takes US$ 350 per person.
How to get Annapurna base camp trek?
Annapurna base camp trek begins after an hour’s drive from Pokhara to Nayapool by private Jeep. From there, you walk on the hiking trail ups and down in several rocky steps passing through the Madi river and some small settlements. At Birethanti, there is a check post where your TIMS (Trekking information management system) and permit card checks. After that, the trail headed some beautiful villages side of Gurung and Magar community passing through the terraced rice fields and green jungle. You take lunch at Hile then continue trek to Ulleri via Tikhedhunga and overnight at normal guesthouse. After early morning breakfast, you walk on the beautiful village side, dense Jungle and some small tea shop, you reach 2,800m Ghorepani which is the remarkable places to see the amazing natural scenery of the Himalayas and peaks.
In the early morning hiking to Poon hill for spectacular sunrise view from above the Himalayas while the sun hits on the top of the giant Mt. Annapurna 1st, and Mt. Dhaulagiri with several peaks are really just outstanding. Walk on the Rhododendron and pine forest with seeing the amazing Kali Gandaki river gorge and some typical village views are also another attraction which compels you to stop many times for capturing the memorable photographs. After return back from Poon hill, take breakfast at Ghorepani and continue trek to Tadhapani. From Dadhapani, the trail goes through Ghandruk on the right but we catch the trail to go Chhomrong or sinuwa for Annapurna base camp trek.
After Chhomrong/ Sinuwa, the trail goes through the Jungle side passing the bamboo and Rhododendron Forest with some tea house places Bamboo, Dovan, Himalaya, Deurali, Machhapuchre base camp and finally Annapurna base camp where you will be spent 3-4 night in that site. You can enjoy a lot for seeing the perfect views of forest, rocky hills and Giant Himalayas. You can spend 2 nights at Machhapuchre base camp from where you can hike Annapurna base camp easily or trek to Annapurna base camp for overnight it depends on your health and altitude friendliness. From Machhapuchre base camp to Annapurna base camp, the Himalayan views around you including the world’s first climbed above 8,000m Mt. Annapurna 1st, Annapurna south, Hiun chuli, Tharpu chuli, Tent peak, Singhu chuli, Annapurna 3rd, and Holy Mt. Machhapuchre with Annapurna glacier makes your journey really meaningful and memorable. You can capture several photos with enjoying the hot tea or coffee and some dishes over there but be careful about the high altitude which suffers you sometime very badly.
While returning back from Annapurna base camp, you follow the same route till Chhomrong then you follow the trail descends to Jhinu danda. There is a hot spring at Jhinu danda river site, you can go to Hot spring and take the natural bath and overnight there. After that, you will trek to Landruk and drive back to Pokhara by private Jeep takes 2-3 hours or continue Mardi Himal Trek takes 4 more days which depends on your interest and time. At Pokhara, there are many places to visit such as Taal Barahi Temple, Davids falls, Gupteshwor Mahadev temple, Annapurna international mountain museum, Cultural Museum, KI sing bridge, White stupa, Mahendra and Bat cave and many more. Pokhara is also the best place for Paragliding, Bungee jumping, Jeep line, Ultra-light and Boating. You can do this if you want and have the time.
Foods for Annapurna base camp trek
You can select the different varieties of foods which you get the menus just Infront of the table. The mostly foods you can get is as follows:
For breakfast: – Toast with Jam and Honey, different variety of Omelet which you prefer, boiled eggs, Muscly with fruits and milk, Porridge with fruits and milk, Tibetan breads, plane chapati with vegetable curry and variety of tea and coffee which you prefer.
For Lunch and Dinner: – Nepali Thali set Dall-Bhatt with vegetable curry and pickle, Mo:Mos, spring rolls, mars rolls, Pizza, fried potatoes, macaroni, spaghetti with tomato Sause, Cheese macaroni, Thukpa, noodle soups etc..
Accommodations for Annapurna base camp trek
Trekking in Nepal is very remote area and there is not connected by the road and air transportation. So, most of the things which is needed for the trekking is carrying by the people or mule or yak in Nepal. so, you will get very basic, normal but neat and clean 2 bed sharing rooms with outside bathroom. Please be comfortable sometime while trekking in the mountains. We need to sleep at dining hall and common bed room for some time.
Best seasons for Annapurna base camp trek
There are two seasons to trek in Annapurna base camp. You can trek to Annapurna base camp in September to November in Autumn and March to May in spring for its clear visibility and temperature. In Autumn, you can see better scenery of the Himalayas. You can trek Annapurna base camp in December but that is really cold weather but perfect weather clearance and you will get very less trekkers at this time. In March to May, you can see the perfect scenery of the Himalayas with colorful Rhododendron flowers which blooms in March to May in spring.
