Stray dog conquers Baruntse Peak Summit and becomes the first

Something unbelievable happened this year in the Himalayas i.e a stray dog climbed Baruntse peak which is elevated 7129 m above sea level.

The dog started following the climbers from the 5000 m up and did not leave until reaching the top.

The expedition team had been led by Dan Wargowsky who is from Seattle, Washington. After the dog succeeded the climbing, she was given the name Mera by Wargowsky.

It was a surprise for everyone as it had never happened before. According to Wargowsky, he was feared if she would die of the cold. But she seemed unharmed and pretty confident in what she is doing.

Later, Mera was adopted by Kaji Sherpa who is the expedition’s base camp manager.
